    FINAL EXAMS: FINALS COUNT AS TWO EXAMS. The final exam schedule follows Memorial day and is as follows: Tues 5/29 Periods 1 and 7, Wed 5/30 Periods 2B and 6, Thur 5/31 Periods 2A, 4/4a and 4/5a, Friday 6/1 Periods 3/3a, 3a, 4 and unscheduled "B" days, Monday 6/4 unscheduled A days and Make-ups.

    5-25-18 (through finals): Students are preparing for their final exam to be given according to the schedule above.

    5-24-18: I demonstrated a solid state phase transformation in iron wire. I also demonstrated numerous gas related topics using a vacuum pump and bell jar. We discussed and demonstrated how gravity makes a suction cup work.
    5-23-18: We completed Cosmos, Episode 7. The video WS is due today as the last graded assignment for the the term before the final. All missing work is due by Friday. We discussed the final and I posted the schedule. It will cover chapters 1-8 plus a few other questions from other chapters covered in class. The exam is multiple choice. Students can prepare for the final by scanning the key terms for each chapter, reviewing their notes and reference packs for each chapter, then attempting and reviewing the relevant multiple choice questions that appear at the end of each chapter, the "standardized test prep".     5-24-18: I demonstrated a solid state phase transformation in iron wire. I also demonstrated numerous gas related topics using a vacuum pump and bell jar. We discussed and demonstrated how gravity makes a suction cup work.
